Squad Goals

Squad Goals' beginnings came from an individual risograph football poster design, which then led to a series of illustrated sports team posters. The illustration style was inspired from Belgian cartoonist Hergé, and French illustrator Jean Jullien.

Risograph was initially chosen for the printing method as it can create brighter colours than the average offest digital printers, and naturally creates an interesting visual style with the produced texture and imperfect layeringing of colour. I eventually offered full colour digital posters as an option in order to print larger dimensions.

In an effort to expand the product range, I adapted the artwork for the production of metallic enamel pins and fridge magnets. This collection is consistently among my top-selling illustrations and I am constantly expanding on it and including additional teams and mediums.
