My six year background in the design industry has instilled in me the importance of problem solving through creativity and attention to detail.
My roles over the years have given me valuable experience that includes crafting websites for desktop and mobile, developing brand identities, and producing various assets adhering to established guidelines. My portfolio features work for brands such as JBL and Tupperware, illustration work for the GWS Giants, and branded merchandise for local businesses. As well as static, animated & video social media marketing posts for a diverse range of over 100 brands.
The work I’m most proud of always comes when I can channel my energy into projects I have faith in. I believe the best way to remain inspired is through the collaboration of ideas with motivated people who enjoy what they do.
In my spare time as a freelancer I like to stay up to date with design trends and new and upcoming design methods and processes through reading design blogs, following my favourite designers social media channels, and online tutorials and am always researching unfamiliar design methods and processes.
I always endeavour to have an off-hours project in the pipeline, whether it’s illustration related or creating something with a new skill I have recently learned in order to keep the creative juices flowing and keep me inspired.
I’m naturally a curious person, always desiring to learn how things work and wanting to fix problems I identify. I feel this makes me an effective designer, especially in the realm of user interface weaknesses.
